5 Fun Yoga Poses to De-Stress

In Adventure 5 of our online courses we talk about dealing with stress and discomfort, also known as distress tolerance, where we travel to the Crocodile Swamp. Here we dodge the chomps of hungry crocodiles with some awesome tools to cope. This is where we learn to tolerate some level of discomfort without completely losing our cool.

Distress tolerance skills are super important to help kids self regulate and manage emotions. Distress tolerance can help with tantrums, mood swings and other emotional storms that happen.

One way to tolerate stress is to temporarily change you body chemistry through movement.

Yoga can be a powerful tool to help us calm down and reset our clocks in order to think clearly and solve the problem!

Next time emotions are high in your home, pull out these yoga moves and see if your kids will join in!
